Grooved pins are press fit fasteners that have excellent holding power, vibration resistance and are easy to install. Each cylindrical pin has grooves that are pressed in that expand the pin’s original diameter. This makes the grooved pin a strong spring mechanism. When a grooved pin is pressed into a hole the size of the pin’s original diameter, the hole compresses the expanded pin. This creates a locking and forceful hold without permanent deformation.
